I tinted the tail lights, spoiler, 18" black rims, stainless steel door sills, chrome tip exhaust, cargo tray, front splash guards.

I plan on getting xenon headlights and fog lights and possibly some Mugen parts. I really would like a performance exhaust.

Looking good. I'm not a big fan of oversized rims. But for the 3rd gen 19's are the way to go.

Wow. Very nice... Get a good shot of that thing (good location, minus the date stamp) and let's get it on the home page!

I really like the way those wheels complement the black vehicle! :)

Nice job I am usually opposed to people adding to much to a CR-V because it dosen't seem like the vehicle that could pull it off but the wheels look sweet not to oversized tints look great enventhough I am no a fan of tinted tail lights. Good Job

That looks GREAT.Can you tell me the exact tire and wheel measurements that you have on your car? They don't look too "oversized", and I would like the exact wheels/tires on my 07. Thanks

Great looking V. Do you have a write-up with detailed pictures for the tail light tint. This is a mod I have wanted to do since day one since the tail lights are soooo tall. Even if you don't have pix, I'd still like to read through a "this is what I did" type paragraph. Thanks in advance for the help with this project.

You have to order VHT nightshades. It is real easy
1. Sand the entire tailight with 3000 grit wet sand paper.
2. Tape off clear lenses.
3. Spray VHT nightshades. I used 7 light coats. After every 2 coats I wet sanded.
4. When done painting completely wet sand one more time.
5. Remove tape from clear section and I took mine to an Auto paintshop and had them clear coat it.
4.

Thanks. Would the same shots be good just in a different location. That would be great to have it on the homepage.

Jenny_Dallas, I'm pretty sure she just forgot to reply to your question. But i'm guessing, it's 225/60 R18. :)

Thanks SO MUCH for ignoring my question. I'll make it as simple as I can. What are the tires you have on your CR-V, and what are the exact specs? I want to save the comfortable ride on mine, so the tire guy said keep the 17" but put a bit larger tire to get that more aggressive look without sacrificing the ride quality. I am going with the Goodyear Assurance which has been suggested before, only one size larger/wider that stock.ANY HELPFUL INFO APPRECIATED!!

Oops I missed that question. The are 18" All sport Performance XP 235/55 R18 hope that helps. The tire do hum and they are a little more of a harder ride they are also a lower profile.

thanks for the prompt response, I have just 2 more questions. With using 7 light coats, and the large size of the tail lights, how many cans did you use? I figured two cans should do it. Also I'm assuming you applied it to the inside of the light cover?
You know what they say about assumption being the mother of all f-ups. Just thought I would clarify before starting this mod myself.
Thanks again for the help.

No, this is all done to the outside of the taillight lens. Sand the outside, paint the outside, clear coat the outside. I used 7 light coats and I used 1 can and I have alot left over. How I judged it I put a couple coats on and then mounted it back on my V to see if light came through and the level of darkness I wanted.

Well, since noone gave me the courtesy of a reply, I went to the tire store, stayed w 17 inch chromes sine I do NOTwant performance tires(been there done that never again),got the 1 size larger goodyear assurance tires since someone recommended them, planto get the chrome exhaust pipe tip and spoiler, mine is solid white, doesnt have the white door handles and white mirrors but the black is a nice contrast against the white, also getting the sunroof deflector and all the windows are tinted and am getting the tinted strip across the windshield .Will send pics when finished if anyone is interested.JEN IN DALLAS

I just left if alone, and got used to the TPMS light being on, when I switched back to the stock rims in the winter the light went off. I wasn't paying for recalibration and the sensors, waste of money.

chainsaw.... this is controlled passion man. I also dont favor ridiculously large wheels/tires on a Vee but somehow you pulled off the perfect setup. Classy work all over - gives you and your ride a great personality to roll with, without being a 'matchbox streetcar' type.

Kudos on a really nice job. I have something else to aspire to!

so Jenny,

Jenny, hope u got some love put into ur Vee and that it looks really great. Also, hope u lost that big a&% chip on ur shoulder. U gotta understand folks don't do this for a living (well most don't). This is a fun forum.

Just chill out, have some fun. It's not 'push to talk'. Sometimes folks don't log on for weeks. BTW... what FreeTrog said is right... wuzzup with ur mod shots?
If ur gonna whine and all, show us some pics inspired by the tantrum.

No offense meant... I'm just sayin. Anyway, it's all luv Jenny. Happy motoriing and here is a pic of 'Snowfox' my 1st gen Vee. Peace
