suburban = 21-23 highway (not interstate) = 24-27 Interstate = 27-29

The above are actual rates not the indicated mileages.

I have no extensive all city driving experience.

Western Pennsylvania is very hilly and hills consume a lot of gas. I don't believe that you save coming down, what you consume going up--if for no other reason than you have to brake to maintain a safe speed.

I am a fairly conservative driver: normal highway speed to keep with the traffic, no excessive speed (except in rare instances of a testerone burst and I open it up to see what it will do--up hills quit at 75) , gentle starts. Interstate speeds 65 to 70. I notice the mileage takes a big hit if I go over 70 on interstates. A/C is always on.
