Alright, as much as I love the 6 disc changer that came with my awesome car (yes, much love I have for my car), I am a gadget junkie. Looking for a radio combo that will fit in the current slot, and have all sorts of bells and whistles.

Scoured the net best I can, but no luck finding one. Any info would be appreciated.

So, thats a first post, one of many.

The 04 has a double din head unit/radio slot but many companies make adapter kits to enable a more standard, and much cheaper, single din units to fit. http://crutchfield.com is one such company. They also have the proper adapters so you will not have to hack your factory wiring into pieces.

Please put your location in your profile - We simply do not know where in the world you might be and can give better, more specific advice if we know. Honda CR-V models vary greatly from north America to Europe to Japan, etc.

Much cool. So basically, there are parts out there that let me fit a normal sized radio (or high tech wallet chewing equivalent), into the oversized slot that currently exists.

I say again, much cool.

Edit:: The Crutchfield is several levels beyond uber. Its like newegg, but for my car.

I hear that many radio stations (AM and FM) are broadcasting in digital now. So, HD or digital radio is comming soon.

In my 2005 I had the Pioneer AVIC-D2 installed. It was a double din navigation model. It fit perfectly in there. I also got the steering wheel controls to work on the car with the radio. I purchased it from Crutchfield and they say it doesn’t fit in the opening when getting a double din radio. But, it does work. There are many options out there. It just depends on how much you want to spend.
