I got the CRV-EX and I'm interested in getting a rearview camera for it...has anybody looked into installing one for it or seen an article about it?

I thought about getting this camera and installing it where the Honda factory camera would be for the EX-L models which is above the plate. I rather not stick it anywhere else otherwise it would stand out for potential thieves to harm my baby. Also thought maybe sticking it where the rear fluid washer dispenser is but on the interior side right on the window.

Hi,

I also bought a camera (VR-3.COM) and would like to know how to get to reverse light.

Let me know if you have learnt anything.

Thanks.

Do you need access to the reverse lights (power) from the back of the vehicle, or the front? Should be quite easy from the back. Simply take it from the tail light area. Use a tap or similar method.

I purchased a rear view camera & monitor at my local BJs - $89.95. The camera is wireless (the TV image) and is bolted to the top of my rear license plate. The monitor sits on my dash - to the immediate right of the "A" pillar - a power cord goes to the accessory outlet low on the center column - the camera gets its power from the back up lights - when you put the car into reverse, the camera comes on. The only difficulty was snaking the camera's power cord through the tailgate to the back up light. :)
