A/C issue

On hot days I've noticed it takes almost a half hour before the A/C even starts to feel cool. Is this normal for this car? I've only had this car for a week, so I wasn't sure about how related this problem might be to break-in. I'm going to take it to the dealer and see if the AC is fully charged.

No, not normal.....

My 06 (3 weeks old) is like a meat locker and so was my 02. Its 100 here today and in a few minutes I had to turn it down. Get back to the dealer and make him fix it.....

dealer claimed there was nothing wrong after they checked it out. they were able to get it down to 54 degrees inside when it was 94 degrees outside. they claim we'll have trouble keepin' it as cool as we would like because it is black. i believe him and not really sure what to do at this point...
