Just been reading some stuff and apparently the gen 1 V had heated mirrors as standard from '99
I have a 2000 V with electric adjustable mirrors but afaik they aren't heated
My question is, should i have a button somewhere to switch them on or are they on permanantly (mine are cold)
Is there a fuse i could check??

Look on the switch for the mirrors.Does it have a little button with a picture of a mirror on it and some squiggly lines?
Honda is known for installing a feature for one market and not doing it somewhere else. One example is Odysseys for the Canadian market have heated mirrors but US market ones don't. They are the same vehicles built in the same factories but one gets heated mirrors and the others don't. Im guessing the UK market CRV's don't have heated mirrors.

Funnily enough on the way to work this morning (5.15am!! ) I decided to feel my mirrors, about 2 miles into the journey they were cold after 6 miles they were warm
So it seems I do have heated mirrors which are on all the time:D

Yet another valuable option that we in the USA never got for our CR-V's.

Well I finally figured this out
I was parked next to another CR-V in Tesco the other day (identical model to mine) and when I came back the other guy got out and asked how long I'd had it, did I have any problems etc etc
In the end I mentioned the heated mirrors and he told me they are heated BUT only when the rear windscreen demister is switched on
I tried it on the drive home and he's right!!

I never knew this. I must check it out. So the rear defroster is the button.

Yep, when I have the rear window defroster on the mirrors heat up
Mine is a UK spec though

Well it doesn't look like it for canadian CR-V's.
I didn't need to defronst it but put it to the test. Pressed the defrost button. But no heat was emitting from the mirrors.

I believe a company named Muth made a set of combo turn signal mirrors with heating elements but they have long since been discontinued.
