I just installed mine two days ago. Take the ventvisor and the end part that 'fits" into the clip. Now you know which end goes into the rubber gasket part. The one end would be too tight of a fit for the ventvisor. You insert the clip as directed and the (front end of the visor slips into the rubber gasket are and the window area. You "flex' the visor and insert the back end into the now installed "metal clip" and then slowly insert the visor into the channel from front to back "slowly".
When finished....don't forget to raise and lower the window at least five times so that the visor "seats" itself properly and then....leave the window in the up position for at least twenty four hours.:)
Hope this helps!!!

I had trouble too, I actually tried to stick it in without the clips until I actually took it to the store and they showed me how to do it. They said I should use it.
First stick the S-clip on the window visor, put the visor up against the window area. The s-clipped part of the visor actually sticks outside the edging of the car. That's what I didnt realize. You will see how the other part needs to fit into the car after you hold it up there. You have to use your finger to move the rubber part of the window area and stick the other part of the bracket where that rubber part is. Not the space where window rolls up, but between the rubber and the oustide edge of the car.
I know its hard to explain. Lemme know. It works nicely once installed correctly, I am happy with them.

were you able to install the S-Clip? this might help... i hope
in the image below you'll see how the rear-end of the visor looks like after installation. the rear end of the rear visor will be exposed outside, and will be held by the S-Clip.
examine the S-Clip, the two opening is not the same (refer to diagram below). A) one end is long and narrow; and B) the other is short and wide. it will be easy to install this:
1. insert the rear-end of rear visor to the long/narrow opening of the S-Clip, it would be tight but it will fit.
2. with the clip attached on the visor, insert the short/wide end of the clip in between the metal and rubber gasket (this is not the window channel).
3. with the rear-end in place, carefully bend the visor so you can insert the front-end in the window channel. then go back to your instructions sheet and follow the remaining steps. :D

can i get a pic of exactly where to install it because i dont understand where its goes not into the window chanel. i have to bend back the rubber that is right next to the window frame. but if i bend that lining back and place the clip between the lining and the frame, the rest of the lining will be twisted. Basically if someone could do me a huge favor, since you already know where its instaleld can u get me a pic of exactly where the s clip goes into. b/c this is confusing

i do not think the rest of the lining will be twisted. the S-clip is thin and will easily insert in that metal frame.
insert the wide and short end of the clip (as indicated below) between that rubber gasket and the metal frame.
hope it helps ;)

Wow Cuzofjade, that some helpful stuff. Nice pics.
I think weathertech needs better instructions cause I had the same problems, but I likem now. Your pics are much better than the original directions, those sucked.

thanks :D
actually when i first installed it, i tried to insert it in the window channel  then figured i might damaged the rubber gasket. called their reprensentative for instructions, good thing i didn't force it in the channel :D

What i did was actually stuck my window visor inside the window channel without the s-clip on the top side and the back end. Hehe, it did stay decently and thought it was fine. I showed the guy at Weathertech and he corrected it for me and said he was suprised that that didnt cause me any probs. After correct install, it fits better. I couldnt figure out how to make the s-clip fit until shown.

so after the weathertech guy installed your rear visor, do it still have that small visor opening on the top of rear corner?

Did your rear visors have the adhesive tape on the front edge and along the entire length that inserts into the top of the door or just the large span (top)? My directions that were supplied with the visors states that there should be two surfaces with the adhesive tape. I also encountered problems with how/where the metal clips should be installed thus they are still sitting in my garage on a shelf. The front visors were extremely easy to install. Also for those with the Weathertech hood protector, did you install the adhesive "buttons" on your hood? Are they necessary or is it only to protect the paint if something strikes the hood head-on (i.e. automatic carwash brush, snowdrift, etc.)?

Adhesive was only on top on one side. I dont consider it to be too important cause it is not very strong, just a bit of extra insurance to hold it in place.
The S-clips are important. I think you did what I did and just stuck the back end into the window channel. It does fit okay like that but you should really use the s-clip to prevent whatever long side effects from happening. That back part belongs on the outside of the window edging with the s-clip.
