I would like to have daytime running lights on my '06 V. I know the '06 V's in Canada require them, so the hook-up must be available. Anyone out there know how I can get this part?

Unfortunately its not that simple. Honda's that do not come equiped from the factory with DRL's do not have the required module or wiring installed.

^ What he said.

I've seen the headlight wiring diagrams in the service manual, and the Canadian models have a whole bunch of extra crap in there for the DRLs.
