While washing and waxing my 07 V, I pulled out the door drain holes plugs and found some were pretty well gummed up with slush, black gook and dirt.

This is after one year of ownership. The little flaps on some plugs were gummed shut. IMO this defeats the water drainage of the holes and might promote rust.

For the winter I plan to remove all plugs. We get plenty of slush and freezing temps, which might mess up these plugs even worse. I understand the idea of these plugs is to keep dirt out of the hole, but IMO the flap is too small and easily sealed shut with gook.

The drain holes are near the lower inside edge of all doors. Not all the holes have the plugs...which in itself is strange. I checked other new 07 V's when at my dealer, and they all had these plugs, one or two per door.

I haven't seen any 08 V's yet, so I can't confirm if they also have the plugs.
