I recently bought a 2003 CR-V and have a couple of pretty basic questions. First, the door chime is inop. It doesn't look like there is a fuse for it, and I couldn't find it poking around under the dash. Could someone tell me where it is located so I can see if it is even hooked up? I'd like to get this fixed before my wife locks the keys in the car. Second, the little lamp in the cruise button on the dash is out, but I can't see how to get the button off to change that. Any tips?
Thanks.

The first step is to ensure that all of the door sensors are in proper working condition. Use the dome light to assist you in determining this.
That being said, it is tough to lock the keys in a Honda unless you try hard. If the key is in the ignition, it won't lock the driver's door. If you make an effort to always use the keyless remote, you can't lock yourself out, can you?
The entire switch has to come out to replace the little bulb. If I can find the right pic, I will post it later.

Found it. Part numbers 4 and 6 are the 2 bulbs. They are about $4 each from the dealer. The switch has to disconnected and will then come out after depressing the 2 tabs.

Thanks. All door sensors appear to be working fine. The other issue with the door chime is that the headlights can be left on and drain the battery while being parked at the grocery store...it also appears the battery is on its way out...not just locking the keys inside.
