Hello,
My steering feels very loose, anyone know of probable causes with crv's that might cause this, dug up the the following info, but don't know the in's and outs of how steering/suspension work to well.
Loose steering:
You notice that the steering wheel is very easy to move and actually feels quite sloppy. It creates an uneasy feeling on the highway because it seems you have no control of your car. The problem seems to be getting worse.
Possible causes:
Steering linkage is worn and parts need to be replaced: Replace affected parts.
Parts of the steering linkage are loose and need to be tightened: Tighten or replace loose parts as required.
Your steering box needs to be adjusted: Adjust steering box as required.
Nice forum here, lots of good info. this is my first post, I hope someone can pass on some words of wisdon, and I'll try to return the favor to this board with some insight as to the few woes my car has had. it's a 2000 crv ex w/118K mi, I got it in '05 w/ 61K mi from a car dealer (not honda). All in all it's a good car, where else do you get 24mpg and can go on the beach, pull a small boat and utility trailer.
