I just ordered HID Kit from this website http://www.xenoneyes.com/
They said this is pretty much a do it yourself or should I say, install it yourself kit, basically just plug and play.
I wanna know if anyone here have done this, was there any problems with the installation? I'm paying $270 for the whole kit, do you guys think I'm paying too much?

I put the order on hold, they said I would have to disable the DRL in order for the kit to work, my wife didn't want that, now I have to convince her because I really want that HID Kit. :(

I personally would be against getting these “Plug and play” after market HID conversion kits. You’re simply replacing your headlight bulbs with xenon HID bulbs with new wiring, switch, and ballasts, but using the same housing and reflector that was designed for the 9003 bulb.
As the reflector is not correctly calibrated for HID lights, your beams will not be properly aimed and will most likely annoy other drivers on the road.
Although, it may look cool to have HID lights on your car, unless you have the proper housing (i.e. projectors with adjustable aiming) designed for HID lights, you may actually end up with worse visibility from improperly focused beams not to mention some irate drivers around you.
This is a pretty cheap alternative compared to swapping your housings to properly switch to an HID lighting system, but be aware that your results may not be as good as you may expect.
Just my 2 cents.

I agree with Will 14. And not to mention, it might also catch your local law enforcement's attention. Try and retrofit a full HID kit (with the proper lens housing and stuff) or get yourself the euro cr-v headlight assembly.
Just my 2 cents. :)

Anything has to be tried! * I can't believe how extremly dull and yellow the stock headlights are. Walking by the front with them on, you keep asking yourself, "Are they really on?" :( This is terrible, It's a shame.

yay!
someone who understands lighting dynamics and how other people perceive HIDs in a non-HID application!
Also note, the projectors will run you somewhere in the $800+ range, plus proper HID ballasts and bulbs

Make sure you do it right I agree try and get the Euro housing it shouldn't be to difficult the worst thing is poor aiming and improper or no cutoff HID's you might think they are safer but blinding other drivers will make it more dangerous. That being said good luck I honestly believe HID's are something you hate if you don't have them hopefully they gain more popularity with American spec vehicles I am sure after this type of thing becomes standard equipment it will be more acceptable, remember when these things first came out everyone hated them.

From the website:
Are these HID light systems street legal?
Every country and jurisdiction has its own rules and regulations governing the use of automotive lighting. Xenon H.I.D. lighting systems that are supplied with the vehicles from the factory are DOT / E approved. The same OEM manufacturers that supply all the major car companies of the world also make our kits. NO XENON H.I.D. lighting system available from ANY source is DOT / E approved if installed outside of the factory. These kits are not street legal for use on public roads as they are. As a result, we officially endorse the kit for exhibition and off-road use and will only sell the kit to be used for these purposes. We are not responsible for customers who violate the terms of sale in which they will assume all responsibilities for any unauthorized or unintended use other than exhibition or off-road use.
Has anyone installed any of the various kits available and checked to see if the stock housing is that bad for on-coming drivers?

I don't understand why Honda didn't use projectors here in the states. Acura has em and other Hondas here (Pilot), why did they overlook the V?

It doesn't matter what kit you have, it is the HOUSING that isn't designed for the bulb. They are all "that" bad.

Acura is a premium vehicle. CR-V is entry level.
They overlooked the CR-V because of added cost. The CR-V in Europe cost double what ours is here in the US.

Do it the right way.
Get yourself some oem headlamps from asia.
Switch the projectors for left hand drive if you need to.

Those are some fantastic headlights. How much did it cost. I have seen Honda motors that are imported from Japan they went for $1500.00 - $4000.00 I hate to see what shipping would be on those:)

I got good deals on a couple of yahoo japan auctions.
Of course fees and shipping added to the cost.
