Hello! I am new to the site, and I like it. I hope to contribute something.
I just installed the class 1 hitch on my 2005. I have since read a lot of bad press for this piece of equipent. I now want to hear from people who use a class one, and see what they think. I need to add this. I only tow a log splitter(slowly) and a little 4x6 utility trailer and I don't plan to get anywhere close to the load limit. Thanks for any input. I should add, I have the type you need to drill throught the bottom of the rear compartment with. It looks pretty chincey to me but it is what I have. See ya!

I have the same set up as you, but on a '00 crv, and as cheesy as it seems it holds well, as long as you know your limits. I pull a 4 x 6 trailer too, and pull/launch a 16ft Lund without any problems.

Cool, thanks fish. When I ordered my hitch, I was told there were two different styles, and they were so close in price that I might as well order the heavyduty one. Well I did, but when I went to pick it up (about a 30 minute drive to Lancaster trailers), I guess there was a mistake and I wound up with the lighter one(didn't know until I got it home and out of the box). Not too worried, however, they also sold me a 2" extention and a ball to fit it. The extender was in the box but I had to get a ball to fit it. I didn't feel like waiting for a reorder so I installed it and will wait to see what happens.
