I was dissapointed to find that my 07 CR-V EX-L did not have headlights that automatically turn-on/off. The last few cars I owned had it so now I am always forgetting to turn these on.

I agree. Automatic headlights are almost a standard in the industry now. Very low cost feature. Safety item.

i pretty much love automatic lights. I was disappointed when I found out I'm not the proud owner of automatic headlights.

Wait did you say you forget to turn them on? I agree though it would be a good feature although I doubt I would actually need them I mean honestly how often do people really leave their lights on?

I agree though it would be a good feature although I doubt I would actually need them I mean honestly how often do people really leave their lights on?I believe that those who miss them are those that live in highly lighted urban areas where it is possible to not realize that one has not turned on the lights. With the 07/08's having the cluster lights always on it makes sense that they forget.

personally I hate the auto headlight feature. It's annoying to see cars going down the roads through large pockets of shade constantly turning their headlights on and off. I think the daytime runners are sufficient for normal use (and safety), and that having the indicator light on the dash is sufficient to tell me my lights are on or off.

Honestly, when I learned to drive, I was taught to get in the car, and turn the lights on if it was overcast or dark, and owning several silver/dark gray vehicles, I still abide by that.

Though it is beyond me, how so many people seem to drive around with their lights off every evening on my trip home. Or with the opposite, and just drive around with their highbeams on constantly.

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), cderalow, most of us are not perfect like you. :D

The UK version has auto lights, here's a picture.
I don't really use it though, because I like to put the lights on quite a lot of the time, unless it is a clear, bright day. It comes from being a biker I suppose.

We couldnt believe ours didnt have auto headlights .Found out the nx nt we got ours.We had 03 impala & it had them & the lights stayed on for 2 minutes after engine cut off.So they will be missed.Seen tonight no light under the hood. For such a nice car & no lights on visors-they are short w/lighting accessories..Other than that very nice ride!!

Am only mildly, but none the less disappointed that my 2008 didn't come with automatic headlights either. The last two other cars I've owned have had them. Doesn't seem like that big of a stretch. Especially odd to see it absent on the EX-L trim with everything else it already has (including a daylight sensor for cabin lighting adjustment).
