Like a vet with post traumatic stress being exposed to a fire cracker, I almost dived under the desk when I saw an advertisement for a Dodge Caravan on this forum. It linked to this site:

I went though flash backs of transmission problems, oil lights burning at an idle, semi-annual disk pad changes. Ahhhh but heated mirrors. Yes my lousy bottom barrel Plymouth had heated mirrors. Well one pleasant memory out of nightmare. It was like a bad marriage.

It was like a bad marriage.We bought a 98 Grand Caravan new - It performed in an excellent manner to 100,000 miles with only 1 set of front brakes in between and one tranny - covered by Chrysler well out of warranty, no less. It sheared a pin off inside the tranny and blew a hole out the side of the case. Local dealer was no help. I went through Chrysler Corporate and had a decision on it in less than 10 minutes.
