I have just bought a genuine Honda CRV dog guard for my 2000 CRV. The dog guard is for 1998-2001 models ie old shape. It fits perfectly but there are no holes for the retaining rods to go into. Can anyone please advise. I presume the trim needs drilling but I have no instructions. Is there a hole behind the trim? and does the trim require any additional fittings. I would appreciate any advice. Lea

Hi
I also had this problem
Basically you need to put the guard in place, hold it there, then mark where the rod ends are (I made sure they were behind the seatbelts) then get your drill out and drill the holes (seatbelts hide the holes when you take the dog guard out)

I drilled the holes behind the seatbelts as you suggested and the dog guard is now fitted. The plastic trim is quite thick. Thanks for that
