On the other forums I am on, it is customary to make an introduction. My name is Rick and I live in Columbus Ohio. I pick up my wife's 2008 CR-V EX next Wednesday which I bought for her for Christmas. After doing a great deal of research on all the crossovers on the market the CR-V won out based on its cost of ownership and operation, reliability and maintenence records. Nothing as 'sexy' as I fell in love with it or anything like that;) Plus the dealer, Roush Honda, threw in a 7 year 100,000 mile warranty to sweeten the deal. That is perfect for my wife because she keeps cars forever. Sure there where a number of things I liked about the CR-V as well but the crossover market is very competitive.

I have found through the other forums I belong to that they are a good source of information. Forums such as the Infiniti forum, audio and computer forums, Club Cobra, watch forums, etc.

My club, the Ohio Cobra Club Inc. is also involved in raising money for Cystic Fibrosis and every year we give away a car. This years car is a Superformance Cobra valued at just shy of $70,000. If you are interested in raffle ticket or just want to check out information on the car or the show you can find it at www.LondonCobraShow.com

Thanks and looking forward to a long and enjoyable CR-V experience:)

I have been to Columbus many, many times over the years, for work. Although I no longer for them, you can probably guess the name of the super-large bank... :)

Interesting on the warranty sweetener. Is it the full Honda Care warranty or just thru the dealer themselves?

Rick, glad to have you on board with us here at the CR-VOC!

There might be a big meet in Columbus in 2008, so stay tuned!

Thanks. Lets see, Bank One (Chase). I worked for Bank One many years ago in Corporate Asset/Liability Analysis. I think it is a dealer thing but I will verify.

Big meet in Columbus?
