oil mixing

yea so when I changed my oil last time, I bought a big jug of oil to be thrifty. that filled the oil pan, and then I had about 1 quart left. oil change after oil change, I now have one full jug from all the other fillups. I don't want to go wasting perfectly good oil, but is it a bad idea to mix new oils of the same viscosity?

I'm not an engineering expert but I see no reason that you can't mix new oils of the same viscosity together; I have done it and had no engine problems yet.
