Well I searched all over the internet to find Headrest with monitors for my wifes 07' but no luck for the cloth interior people. I decided to take matters into my own hands and carve up the factory headrest and install two Kenwood 7" widescreens.
Came out pretty good for a newbie>>>
FYI: i re-routed the din wire thru the post leg so, you cant see the wire connected to the headrest. I lost no support from my headrest use or notice any difference in daily use.
Stand by for future pictures after the holidays>>>>>>>I am installing a full ICE setup ......

Looks nice, if I still had kids that would use this type of mod I would give it a shot! It will be interesting to see further pictures.

Regarding your wiring, don't forget that the 07 uses active headrests. There is some mechanism in the seat back that uses body inertia to deploy the head rest in a rear end collision. As far as I know it is purely mechanical, no sensors or electrical or gas powered actuactors.
That may pose a problem for your wiring. It seems a small matter in the event of rear collision, but I have felt the head rest partially deploy in the drivers seat just trying to fish my wallet out of my back pocket. In fact I routinely lower my head rest, (I am the only driver) so I believe it is frequently moving probably from just normal driving inertia and road jolts.
Three problems come to mind. One: not enough wiring length if the head rest deploys. Leave a bit of unrestrained extra length to make up the difference (which may cause problems of it own). Two: the mechanism shearing the wire during deployment. Three: the wire interfering with the mechanism blocking deployment.
Again, I don't know how the mechanism works. None of these concerns may actually be true, but it is something to check into.
Neat looking installation.

Looks great and the poster above has a point but the system is purely mechanical...
Know the kids will love it. :D

How is the ride with those wheels...looks like it may be a bit harsh?

i don't seem to notice any difference, except you cant fly over speed bumps.
The local Honda Dealership where the truck was purchased are impressed at how smooth it rides. The service manager took it for a spin because he had the same question. The tire and wheel combo must not be too bad because the dealership sold two CRvs to customers who purchased 22's straight from the dealer and they used exactly what im ridin on now. Big rims are based on opinion and how deep your pockets are. Some people hate it, others love it.
Thx

Yes! My understanding is that it's pure mechanics. Runs purely on inertia of an impact! The main thing is to keep things away from the mechanics and be carfull of the side airbag!
