Cheez Louise! That's just what I want and have been searching for!
I prefer the rails-- rather than Honda's (and clones) crossrail roof rack.
Nice set-up. Please post up if you're able to find a source.
Check out these pics from an eBay UK listing!! Sweeet...

emailed them
they only ship /sell to uk addy
nice look i agree
seen similar rails on volvo......
also on a gmc and huyundi
want them to match crv w/no refitting,
the uk seller feels they should fit now we need to find them someplace that ships to our side of the pond, or is western hemi or usa.
Ya beat me to it....
I just sent an email to the eBay vendor asking if he could sell to USA customers--I suppose he'll say no, based upon your information:mad:
I would guess that these rails are Asia-fabricated and simply shipped over to the UK.
Maybe a Japan or Taiwan search to find the manufacturer??

And look at the outside mirrors. Are those directional signals on them?

Yes.
Many features are available in Europe and other parts of the world that we don't get here such as a panorama roof, manual transmission, diesel motor, active cruise control and active headlamps. Keep in mind their CR-V is 50k+ though.

i've seen those after mkt somewhere but imho the crv is short with those big high tailights not like a suburban, plus i live in florida, where if you signal to change lanes the car behind will speed up to block you ......nascar thing

euro model 50k is that in dollars or eu? i'll make my crv look higher end on the cheap these were gbn$200, and as i said the volvo has very similar...geez our taillights look like theirs already, figured why not.
so well the point is this looks sharp maybe someone with contacts at this forums favored dealers can kick start getting these, or i'm sure they'll show up somewhere.

The price is US$, top range CR-V here costs roughly GB£28k = US$56k(ish)
If any of you guys really want these roof bars I'd be willing to help out
BUT I'll warn you now that UK postage prices are next to extortiante!!

I'd be interested, 'slim.
But I'm guessing they're an Asian aftermarket manufacture-- and we in the states might get them at a more reasonable price if we knew the source.
Is there any way you could find out who the UK supplier is? If they were able to be shipped to the US from Taiwan/Japan, the shipping would be cheaper...

Ok here we go...
I looked at the sellers 'ME' page on ebay and it says they import products made by a company called Winbo Auto Accessories (so far so good!!)
Then a quick google for Winbo found there home page:D and the roof rack is HERE (http://www.winbo4x4.com/v2006/en/v_product_search_show.php?proid=1273)
Anyway on their homepage is a link for Company Info and it seems as though they're a pretty good company as they're a supplier to the United Nations!!
Anyway they have an office in Los Angeles HERE'S (http://www.winbousa.com/en/contactus.html) the 'contact us' page
Give 'em a bell!!

even though,my first stock mkt loss was in a supplier to the UN, i will follow up, thanks for the lead.
my thought is that maybe one of our sponsors can get these soon so we pay a reasonable price, thx for the offer from uk but for me, the shipping and conversion of dollar would be a deal killer.
thx again

Yeah postage would be pretty steep!!
Not sure what these roofbars weigh, but a 10kg package sent to the US by surface mail (28-35 days) costs roughly GB£75=US$150(ish)
Airmail (3-5 days) came in at around GB£95=US$190:eek:
Nice work, 'slim. We owe you a Guiness draught :)
FYI:
I just sent an email to the company this evening. The rack is called "The New Focus Roof Rack" item # C150547. I inquired about availabilty to USA purchasers, and also asked if any of their retailers were authorized to sell to the states.
I'll post whatever response I receive.

So did you ever get a reply from them??
Hey 'slim,
Nope. I sent two emails asking about USA availability. Never received a reply. I figure one of two things occurred:
1. You Brits are their preferred customers and they don't need my US dollars
-or-
2. My emails were forwarded to the Asia manufacturing plant and no one there reads English.
:D
(both options are simply guesses on my part)
For what it's worth:
I sent an email to JJ Products this afternoon, with an attached link to the UK dealers website. I asked if JJ Products might be interested in seeing if they can get these roof rails.
I don't know if HandA would be interested in offering this roof rail, because it's not a Honda-branded accessory (?)
I'll post up if I get a reply...
I received an email today from Jim at JJ Products. He indicated he has contacted a business associate in Taiwan to see about getting these aftermarket roof rails. He stated that he should know something in about a week or so. I'll post up when I hear from him.

BUT are cross bars available for those racks as well?? or is it just for show?

Well, I'd like all-black for my silver '07. But after looking at the Euro-vendor pics a few more times, it appears that the all-black rails might be on an '06 (?). I'm wondering if the silver-colored rails are the only style available for current Gen Vs.
I received an email today from Jim at JJ PRODUCTS. He indicated that his Asia contact is still trying to get information about importing/marketing these rails to the US. However----
A lot of the businesses there have temporarily closed to celebrate Chinese New Year, so Jim's contact won't be able to get any info until everyone is back to work.
I post-up again when I receive any additional information.

good job on staying on top of this ed, thought this thread died
Not for lack of trying...
I've searched high and low for these things and can only find them retail at the UK dealer on eBay. (I never did get an email reply from the Taiwan distributor.)
I've tried to convince Jim that there's a N. America market for these things, particularly since they'll bolt-on to the current gen CRV--- for the next few years. I'm hoping he'll import them and bargain a good price w/the manufacturer. We'll see if patience prevails...
FYI---
I sent an email to Jim at JJ PRODUCTS this evening asking if he ever heard back from his China/Taiwan supplier contact. It's been over two weeks since my last contact with Jim. I'll post up if I receive a reply.
At this point, I'm ready to abandon this effort. I find it peculiar that the roof rail manufacturer has been shipping these rails to a UK vendor for quite some time now--and the US/N. American market remains ignored. (Maybe it's something we said ??? :p ).
Anyway, If I don't add to this thread in the near future, you may consider it dead---I'll presume the rails will simply be unavailable to the N. America market.

Don't any of you know and USAF guys based in the UK??
Ok so you'd still get shafted on the $-£ excahnge rate but shipping costs would be a lot less than using Royal Mail

I'd like a set too! FYI: I had started another thread on HondaSUV.com before finding this here: Roof rails for a 2005 CR-V - HondaSUV Forums - Discussion forum and bulletin board for Honda CR-V, CRV, Element, Pilot, HR-V owners (http://www.hondasuv.com/members/showthread.php?p=325476)

The roof rack looks similar to the following one:
CRV ROOF RACK TYPE1 (http://www.parts-suv.com/products/CRVROOFRACK1.htm),
Homepage:SUV PARTS|SUV RACKS AND STEP BARS (http://www.parts-suv.com)
I believe it's very commercial form the supplier. But do not know whether sell to USA directly.

Does anybody know where I can purchase these types of roof rail/racks? I tried reaching the company [premier line auto], but I am afraid they might be out of business.
