23.5 Hwy - Just got back from 1500 mile road trip. All interstate, cruise control on, windows up, A/C off, luggage, no passengers, 55 - 65ºF temps.

Boo Hiss.

I'm so disappointed in fuel economy that I'm almost thinking about invoking lemon laws over the TPMS issue to go back to a V6 Accord to get better economy. If gas price remains the same, it will cost me about $1200 more in three years for the CRV over a V6 Accord. :mad:

In any event, the CR-V is a BRICK, aerodynamically, as it goes down the road. Even if it had the same engine, tranny and drive ratios as an Accord, it would get less mpg. The faster you go, the more mileage will suffer because of the aerodynamics.

You won't get anywhere with a lemon law with the mpg you are getting. Ever heard the phrase "You're mileage may vary"? The EPA tests vehicles on a dyno, not in the real world and you don't drive like a robotic machine. You can assume that the EPA ratings will be higher than what you will get, but they are a good way to compare one vehicle to another because of the way the testing is performed in an identical fashion to all vehicles.

The lemon law would be on the TPMS issue.

My sticker's estimated is 22/28 and in small print 23-33 Hwy. I've had numerous new cars, lots of them Hondas and never one so far off the sticker in milage.

It will take more than a tire pressure monitoring system to be able to trigger the lemon laws. In most states, it means a disabling type of issue in which you don't have use of the vehicle for nearly 30 days total along with MULTIPLE attempts at fixing the same issue. Because they could reset the TPMS in minutes each time, and is not a disabling item, it would really be a tough one.

I'm pretty happy with my new CRV EX 4WD, but yeah, I'm a little disappointed too on the mpg. I've been getting around 18 mpg. :mad: To try to ease the gas pump pain, I've been trying to accelerate slower and cruise a lot more before breaking. Other than that, I've been pretty happy with everything else.

Commuter traffic freeway(stop & go) and in town. Mileage at 24-25 MPG.

it is FOUR wheel drive little suv ..and this milege and gas ammount - close to be proportional..
it's just the hole histeria around gaz speculativ prises on the market ,make fillings uncomfortable.. car is ok..
