A month ago I followed the application instructions on the bottle of RejeX (from CorrosionX (http://www.corrosionx.com/rejex.html) In the last month - with 3 snow storms and lots of ice and rain (Nov Dec 2007 in Dutchess County NY) I've managed to keep my CRV looking like new even when others are driving around with sand / salt encrusted buggies.

Living in an apartment makes washing a car very difficult. But I refuse to make a trip to an automated car wash and as DIY wash is never around the right time or place. I purchased an insecticide sprayer from the Home Depot for $19 and after its pressurized with a little car wash detergent and water, it does a very effective job of carrying off the sand and salt around and under the vehicle. The same procedure with plain water twice as a follow up and minimal mechanical action with a soft sponge and my CRV shines like new. A quick chamois and silicon on the black plastic and within 45 mins every week - I hope to keep this ride looking fresh all through winter. Not to mention the water I manage to save - we're trying to be environmentally responsible and washing our car with 6 gallons of water is a good start.

I hope this helps some of you guys who take pride in owning a clean ride. RejeX was ordered for me by the folks at True Value and it cost me $21.29 for a 16oz bottle including tax. Its not cheap, but its recommended every six months - I believe I have about 3 years worth left in the bottle and it does its job very well. Note the shine it leaves behind - far better than Meguiars, Mothers or Turtle's. It helps to remove the previous wax coating though with a little warm water and a good wax cleaner. The polymer applies very easily and buffing is a non-issue. Sand washes off and the birds in my area are trying out a new diet. Everything washes off fairly nicely - (except a bit of the brake dust - guess the wax coating wasn't removed too well by me prior to application)

All in all this is a great product and needs to be looked into. Glad to share my two cents.:)

I am glad you are satisfied with the results. I am wondering if this product has been around a while. Did you put this on right after you got your CR-V or after you've tried some other products first? I will be picking up mine in the next several days and I wonder if I could put this on right after I pick up the CR-V or wait until the factory wax wears off and then apply this after a thorough wash.

I've just checked the web site and CorrosionX mentions that RejeX (one of their products) has a higher refractive index than traditional wax or coatings. Therefore i understand that would reflect more light thus showing off a great shine - (which I noticed right away and even now one month later) I previously used to use Eagle Nanowax which was good but did not last long and needed an application almost every month.

I purchased the CRV and noticed that the factory applied wax was blotchy and smeared all over the windscreen causing blurry vision and the water beaded like it should on the hood - but smeared on the roof - they waxed only the portions that they know the customer would notice. So being unhappy with that application of wax - I stripped it with a cleaner and applied the polymer. Never been happier. I just sprayed the car today - did not even use a sponge - really labor saving. Although for a more thorough job a light sponge would be helpful to dislodge the fine film of grime. But I notice the ease with which the dirt washes off. I would suggest you apply this polymer as soon as you can, when the car is still clean. Don't forget to remove the previous wax. The surface becomes very slick and who knows - maybe the whole body surface gets slick enough to add one extra .001 mpg :)

Have fun - tell me what you think of it.

When I picked up my CR-V today from the dealership, they offered to put some kind of poymer that has 5 years warranty. Ofcourse, it was expensive but I declined. I think I am going to try this one also on mine as well. It is probably very similar with different names. They said even spray paint would not stick. Interesting...

I realize I'm reviving an old thread, but I wanted to pass along that I just ordered a couple of bottles of Rejex from Skygeek <<dot>> com for $14.95 per 16oz. bottle.

A friend of mine has a light aircraft (a Cirrus SR-22 for those who may be interested) and uses this stuff. It really makes removing the bugs from the leading edges of his wings very easy. I'm hoping it'll do the same thing for the leading edges of my CR-V! :D

Best regards to all.
