It is interesting to read the (Wheel and Tire) subject headings in both the CR-V and the Elements forums. The experience with OEM tires seems to be very much the same even with the two vehicles having different OEM tire suppliers. On both sites many owners share needing new tires some were in the 18000 to 26000 mile range. Give or take with depending on the individual. Many on both also note the road noise of their OEM tires.
We have both cars. Our mileage is to low to make any judgments about mileage. But it will be interesting to watch the wear on both the E’s Wranglers and the CR-V’s Bridgestone Duelers. My wife’s and I drive about the same annual mileage. And our driving styles are close to the same. Here in Mobile Al we get average rain falls of between 60 and 80 inches a year. So wet weather performance is very important to us. I am already unhappy with my Wranglers in that area as well as road noise. They do not hold real well, slipping easily taking off from a stop on wet pavement. I am not sure of my control in a heavy rain. My wife how ever is satisfied with the way the Duelers are working for her. I have only driven the CR-V once in the rain and it seemed to hold the road well. I have also noted that the Wranglers are nosier than the Duelers. But I am not sure that is not more the difference in the vehicles. I will try to report on this again every few month. Tell one or both of us have to make a change.
