Just happened to run into these reviews on the CR-V and Rav 4, Finally someone has rated the CR-V higher. The ratings are 9.2 to 8.9 for 2007 8.8 to 8.5 for 2008.

The CR-V is USN&WR's #1 rated small SUV for 2008.

On the overall 2008 vehicle rankings at US News & World Report, Honda did very well in all categories for which they have vehicles.

I had reviewed the USN&WR Auto site before buying my V. Very good info!

The neatest aspect of this review is that is a comprehensive composite (or meta-analysis) of current published reviews. It brings all reviews to an easily accessed database.

I googled the living daylights out of the CR-V when I researched it last May, and I never seen the US News sites.

They are very handy.

Black Pearl, thanks for posting those links! I hadn't seen them, either  .

I especially loved the quote that said "...and a hint of cool." But, then, we knew that all along even without the article and quote, didn't we ;) :D . Hubby got a kick out of when I read that to him. He just doesn't understand my love for this little suv. Poor guy :p .

I can't believe that Kia came in #5 and #6 with a reliability rating of 4?

The Koreans have come a long way my mom Elantra is quieter than the V and feels really solid the interior is boring and I think the body panels are dent prone but they are better built and more reliable than most American cars. I wouldn't get one because the depreciation is so bad Hyundai wouldn't even lease cars until recently still wait a couple of years they will be suprisingly close to Honda and Toyota

I was not knocking the Kia ,I just can't understand how a vehicle with a reliability rating of 4 out of 10 can place #5.One of the many reasons I bought my V was reliability .
