Hi all,

Very excited here about the imminent arrival (day after tomorrow) of my new CR-V. I have a question regarding I-pods. I haven't bothered with MP3 players but since this vehicle has the connection I thought I would look into getting an Ipod to use instead of racking up a mountain of CDs in pockets.
I recall from the brochure that it said something about needing an additional "bus" cable in the EX as it has the Satnav option installed. Can anyone explain what this is and how to hook the Ipod up? Is it worth bothering with? It is a company car so I can't start taking it apart :)

Many thanks.

Sorry, probably still in the wrong section, but not sure if the iPod connection is country specific...so here goes...

Am I doing something wrong? As far as I can make out, by paying the extra ofr the Honda iPod connection, I paid through the nose for a charger. Ok, i'm being harsh, I know I can move tracks through the infotainment screen, but feek me. I have to setup specific Honda folders and it will not show any track titles on the screen. I thing buying a PC adaptor card would have been more sensible.

Or am I doing something wrong?

With regards the Ipod conncecetrs a lot of info seems more relevent to the US. I've just got one of these;

Honda USB/MP3 Interface Model V*::*HONDA*::*XCarLink (http://www.xcarlink.co.uk/product.php?productid=12&cat=3&page=1)

early days but so far it works a lot better than an FM transmitter & you can use the controls of the steering wheel to change tracks / folders (playlists).
Easy to fit under 30 mins only a screwdriver required :)
