Hey I just thought I would start a thread on an often overlooked section of cars and that is wipers. Most people don't do any research or buy the cheapest set n the store. I figure a few recommendations on different blades could help prospective buyers to avoid rubbish and look at some good solutions. Right now I am running a set of Michelin Optimum frame less, this is my first experience with framless blades and I must say they are fantastic. There are no streaks it is just a clean smooth swipe I have had them on for a few months and there are no signs of wear and they have maintained their curvature (my original fear was they would go flat and lose pressure on the glass). My only faults were they were incredibly difficult to install and they grip so much in light rain situations they chatter, although this is partially Honda's fault for not making the Intermittent wiper setting hard enough. In the back I have a framed Rain-X that's working really well for a framed model. Honestly strong recommendation for the Optimums because together I think they were around 29 bucks much cheaper than Bosch's framless.

I've been using Bosch Icons(frameless) for around nine months. I caught them on sale at Advance Auto Parts. I liked them so much that I went out and bought their smallest size for the rear wiper. Their smallest size is much too big for the rear wiper setup so I took it apart and cut it down to make it fit.
I also had to replace the OEM tension spring in the rear wiper arm because it didn't hold the Icon blade flush to the glass. I went to my local hardware store and found one that would work.
I will never buy anything but frameless blades from now on. They're a little pricey but they're worth it, IMO.

I'm running PIAA's and have been for about two years. Very happy with them.
Installed a set for $22 each a month ago from Canadian Tire. The curved blades were by far the best wiper blades Ive ever used in the 40 years of driving. No streaks or smearing with Rain X solution and they're wisper quiet and glide ultra smooth!!! The only problem is yesterday the right blade fell off in the parking lot as soon as I turned them on for the snow and I don't know why so I'll examine if they were installed correctly.

Heads-up!
Pep Boys is currently selling Rain X frameless wiper blades with a buy one get one free offer...via a mail-in rebate. They're slighly cheaper than Bosch Icons at their regular price and this sale looks like a great deal. The offer ends after 2/2.

HMM I wonder if they are easier to install than he michelins I had to have the guy from strauss install them after about 35 minutes if nothing it took him 20 minutes to put them on they have stayed on but wow was it a pain that being said I will never buy framed front wipers again frameless are so smooth and don't get messed but by snow and ice.

i just went to Pep Boys yesterday after seeing the post and they didn't have the 26 size of the Rain-X latitudes, it stops at 24. There was also no spot on the shelf for the 26. Employee said they never had 26s...or maybe he just didnt want to check in the back but whatever the case is, I wasn't able to get it. Anyone else able to get it?

4 different Strauss Discount Auto sells the Michelin Optimum wipers but not the 26 length Michelin says to get. There's no space for the 26 and it only goes up to 24.
2 different Pep Boys sells the Rain-X Latitude but not the 26 length Rain-X says to get for the 07 V. AGAIN, there's not even a space for the 26, it only goes up to 24.
TWO different stores, TWO different brands, both suggesting a size and both don't have it at all. Like it doesn't exist. One of the workers at Strauss even had the idea that they don't make 26s at all. I just looked at him weird when he said that when the book right in front of us clearly said 26.
Another weird thing, Rain-x's wiper guide shows different sizes for the 08 and 07 wipers. 07 wants 26-16 and the 08 wants 24-17. aren't the 07-and 08 Vs completely the same thing???

I think the 08's have shorter wiper blades so that when one goes to pull them off the glass, you don't have to take the drivers, then passengers off, you can go in either order.
If I try to bring my wipers off the glass passenger, then driver, the driver's one gets snagged on the passenger's one..
but who knows...

I looked them up this morning and both 2007 and 2008 use the identical wiper sizes.
Yes and my 08 has the wiper snag problem too. That will take a little bit to get familiar with.
I think the reason Honda changed the blade sizes on the 08 is because they realized that the 26" blades aren't readily available in retail stores. So they shortened the drivers blade to 24" and increased the passenger blade by 1" to 17".
