Greetings from a CRV Newbie-

I was wondering what would be a good roof rack and roof box for a 2006 CRV with a sunroof visor?

Last year our family became the proud owner of an awesome 2006 CRV (silver). It is our first SUV, and we love it! My husband originally owned a '98 Accord, but when it was time to buy a new car he decided this would be a better fit for us as we regularly transport our 3 dogs out of state with us and the only other car we own is a VW Beetle. Truth be told, I was a little leery about getting an SUV, but after getting to drive it a few times I'm addicted. :)

We have plenty of space for now, but I see us running out when we have a baby, and we don't want to leave the pups behind. I was thinking a roof box would be excellent as it'd give us more space and maybe allow one or two of the dogs to ride in the hatchback. Is this a safe place for a dog to ride?

I don't have one, but I believe that the Honda box will fit with the wind deflector. I would check with a Honda dealer.

My black lab rides in the cargo area of both V's -behind a generic PetSmart barrier that I got for about $60. The dog loves it (windows are tinted on both vehicles) and it keeps the dog safely away from the driver. Sure, the barrier puts little indentations on the headliner, but so what? It is my vehicle. I am not saving it for the next owner. I use it for myself. If the next owner does not like it because of the little indentations, tough sh_ _.
