Does anyone have the Spoiler. I am interested in knowing if it helps keep the back window clean. Does it provide anu sunlight reduction.

I have found that the hatch window seems to get very dirty with water and dirt kicked up when driving in the rain. Does the spoiler help.

Will the spoiler have any effect on gas mileage. Currently averaging 27.1.

Also live in southern AZ so interested in any reduction in heat during the summer.

Of interest I bought the CRV with a roof rack. Suspect it makes more wind noise particularly at high speeds (75) where there seems to be a whisle noise. However, may need the rack on occasion and like the added look.

So far really pleased with the EX-L.

Welcome to the forum! :)

Post some pictures of your new V with some of that beautiful Arizona desert or mountains in the background.

I believe there is a simple fix for the whistle noise. It involves a possible missing piece of rubber/felt type material. Search on the forum for wind noise roof rack or similar terms. If I find it first, I will post a link for you.

I doubt that the spoiler would help keep the rear window clean. I don't know for sure since I had the spoiler installed before I picked up my '08 Glacier Blue - but the rear window really gets filthy. I noticed today that many SUVs have very dirty rear windows, whether they have spoilers or not. But I sure don't remember the window on my '05 CR-V getting as dirty under normal conditions.

As far as sunlight reduction, I can't say as my windows are all tinted. I got the spoiler because I liked the look, not expecting any benefit really.

on the previous generation cr-v they offered a rear wind deflector. i had it on my 2005. it would deflect the wind downward in the rear to keep dust off and such off the rear window. on the current generation it is just for looks.

I don't believe the spoiler provides any functional purpose, only for looks...

I did slide a piece of 1/2 inch tubing in the slot of the roof rack and it did help but dealers must have some sort of sound deadning for these

I will be at the dealer next week and will inquire

and Yes spoiler should change the way the air goes to the rear window and maybe the glass wont get as dirty quickly
