I was just wondering if anyone has added an extra power outlet on a center table of a CR-V LX. I was just looking at the center table parts diagram of an EX and it looks easy enough to do. They're not bad price wise as well. What about the auxillary input? Does the one on the dash have to be disconnected to enable the one on the table, if installed? I believe it's more convenient to place MP3 players, etc. on the table rather than having cables dangling on the dash.... If anybody has tried this, I would like to know.
Also, I saw a thread before regarding adding audio control to the steering wheel for an LX. Will this be able to control the LX stock radio? Thanks.

Thanks. I just updated my profile. I have a 2008 4WD LX. just trying to see if its possible to do that on the LX. Reason is, jacks would be within easy reach for a portable DVD player for the kids in the back. No messy dangling cables.
Thanks.

I would like to add a permanent live socket, so that the kids DVD player doesn't cut out when the ignition is turned off.
Any suggestions as to where to get the live?
I would probably put a circuit in to avoid draining the battery (cuts power if battery voltage drops too low).

Over on the EOC using an add-a-circuit is a popular way to get power to run an extra outlet or accessory. They plug into the under dash fuse box.
Here is an example of one being used to power a GPS.
An in-expensive test light will help you find a fuse to tap into that will be live with the ignition turned off.

Just get one of those adapters from radio shack there 7 bucks and do the job I run my radar detector and the extra socket to run my coffee cup (yes I am an old fart with an electric coffee mug). I don't understand why honda dosen't have a dual power outlet my even my moms Hyundai has one.

Thanks, that is exactly what I need.
Now I just need to find where I can buy one in the UK!

I just put in a Painless Cirkit Boss (http://www.painlessperformance.com/webcatalog/largeview.php?SearchField=70103).
It's kinda like adding a sub-panel to your basement instead of running a whole bunch of stuff off of one breaker.
It's more work, but I like the flexibility once it's in place. I can add outlets in a couple of minutes.
