i just bought a 2008 crv and was wondering what type of hood deflectors people are using? I want a plastic one (not a bra type) but I don't really want to drill any holes or use double sided tape on the paint. Any suggestions of brands and their installation will be greatly appreciated.
Also, has anyone used the honda hood deflector and if so, what do you think and how is it attached? Thanks.

buckeye24 welcome to the forum! Personally for my CRV I have chosen to use the weathertech stone deflector; I liked the ease of installation and the looks over the OEM model. Really it's a matter of preference as they are both designed to do the same thing. Have fun with your new CRV and please do post some photo's with a unique to you background.

Can someone explain what a hood deflector is?
I've seen them on cars in the US, but we don't have them here in the UK.
What is the benefit of having it?

They prevent rock chips along with deflecting other road debris and insect accumulation from the lip (front) of the hood. Some are also designed to redirect air flow above the windshield thus helping to prevent windshield damage from small rocks thrown up from vehicles in front of you.
