Sept. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Honda Motor Co., the first Asian automaker to build cars in the U.S., said almost every part of the 2007 MDX sport-utility vehicle was designed, engineered and tested in Ohio, giving its U.S. unit more autonomy than ever.
``Our levels of technology have increased across the board,'' said Frank Paluch, Honda's vice president of U.S. auto engineering, in interviews last week in Raymond, Ohio. Honda R&D Americas since 2003 has added more engineers, a crash center and new research labs to boost local development ability, he said.
