never have used a chip, but, just guessing here, NO, more power, yes, can belive, but more gas milage, no, it will use more gas to up the HP, but to up the MPG slow down or drive on long trips. more HP, get a bigger engine. or try one of those turbo fans that put in more air to the engine, may work even better. but really, wait until some young whipper snapper has a pimp my ride idea to up the MPG, up the HP, but not using a chip. if you really want to improve the system, check with Honda, check with an auto parts store, check with one of the big boy toy shops that over haul or lower vehicles. more likley, it is a hand held computer that flashes the system to up the HP and MPG with additional hardware to boot. I am not that old, but I have heard of adding a turbo booster.

Trust me honda is trying to get the best fuel economy as of now the fuel economy of a V is similar to Rav4 and Rogue do you know what a sales advantage it would be to suddenly gain better fuel economy don't buy fuel savers if they worked they would be on less shady sites.

The EPA has tested dozens of these over the years and reports on them on there web site. None have ever shown a mpg increase. Most caused a decrease and some caused emissions to increase or other, worse things to happen to your vehicle.

Chips often work to help manufacturers void portions of your warranty. Many people have bought the chips ($$$) that do add power, grenaded their engines, trannys, and etc and then tried to claim warranty work. Manufacturers are now pretty keen on this and look for traces of both physical and virtual (computer logs) evidence that a chip was used. The MM Act won't help you either because you have changed the operating characteristics of the vehicle.
The end result being: If you want to play, ya gotta pay!:D

These devices are not really "chips" at all. They are generally just a resistor which is put in a fancy little box which fools the temp sensor into thinking that the vehicle is running colder than it really is. The ECU then sends extra fuel thinking the engine is not yet warmed up.

They do not go together
One is to get there quicker and spend more gas to do it
and one is the price to pay to get there quicker
