Regarding this skid plate, is this what would protect the radiator from flying stones or gravels? If it is, I think I definitely want one to prevent more serious damage to the radiator. I now realize it is not for 2008. Oh, well. Thanks.

It'll protect the frame against impacts too.

do you need to remove the lower front frame bar to install this, and how far back does this go? The mounting points? I have been surching 2 forums since I got my V for good pics to answer these questions.
