Should pick up the new to me '05 V tonight....I already have on the way a factory manaul and a hitch and trailer wiring wiring kit...I bargained a Honda roof rack into the sale and am considering a block heater (~$40 part that replaces a block drain that looks to be near the oil filter)
Hmmmm..perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself....maybe I should get the V physically in my driveway first.....
What are good mods to consider???? It's an '05 SE with ~35K miles.....My primary objectives for this vehicle are longevity, reliability, and fuel economy....I can run the block heater on a timer and save some cold start wear & tear I figure...

I'm not sure of any mods that you can do to help increase longevity, reliability, or fuel economy.
Though, you got a Honda so you should be good on all 3 to begin with.
I can tell you, the first mod I did was getting the windows tinted. I carry a lot of different things in the back and I want them all to be hidden from prying eyes. (regardless of size)
After that I added and iPod rig, tomtom navi and WeatherTech window visors. All of which are economical and functional.

Make sure you have that block heater wired to a GFCI circuit. Also, it is not necessary to have it plugged in more than a couple of hours. I use a timer on my diesel truck, which has to sit outside sometimes because it is too big for the main garage attached to the house. I set it for 2 hours before I know I want to leave unless it is more than about minus 10 Fahrenheit, when I use a 3 hour schedule. Also, never forget that you have it attached to the car! I use a quick-disconnect like what you see on an ambulance or fire truck. If I ever forget, it won't matter as it will just pop out with no issues.
