I tried this brilliant trick when installing my curt hitch....I primed the hardware for a little extra corrosion resistance. I was eager to install the hitch so I puit the freshly painted hardware on a piece of foil and put them in the toaster oven for about 3 minutes......PU what a stink!!! fortunately the smell only lasted for about 45 minutes...either that or after about 45 minutes I experienced olfactory fatigue and am going to die:eek:

PS Hitch (2" reciever) is stout!

I'll bet that was really bad. I have an old LP gas oven in the big shed for just such uses. I have it hooked up to a standard 20 pound size tank. I do some occasional powder-coating. Never use your kitchen oven that you cook food in for things like powder-coating!
