We have an '05 AT CR-V and an '07 AT Element. The two have near identical drive lines but act very differently upon take-off. The CR-V is much slower in responding to accelerator input. When I asked the dealer if the ECM or the TCM could be remapped to engage a bit more aggressively I was told, no, it could not be done.
Does anyone know where or if I can get the electronics tuned and what I would have to expect in cost...???

Thank you for your input and your time...

Thank you for your input and your time...Doesn't the Element have a lower (higher numerically) gear ratio for 1st gear? If that is so, that explains it.

The 2007 Element also has 10 HP more than the 2005 CRv which may account for a livelier feel on take off,

here are the gear ratios for both vehicles as a comparison.
2005 CRV AT

Automatic Transmission: 5-speed
Ratios: 1st gear 2.652
2nd gear 1.517
3rd gear 1.037
4th gear 0.738
5th gear 0.566
Reverse 2.000
Final Drive Ratio 4.438

2007 ELEMENT AT

Gear Ratios:
1st: 2.786
2nd: 1.614
3rd 1.082
4th: 0.733
5th: 0.566
Reverse: 2.000
Final Drive: 4.500
