Hi, I'm from northern virginia, I am one of the organizers for the Mid Atlantic Mega Meeet, and I just sold my baby :(

......but I am going to be getting a cr-v to replace it. i was going to get inline pro's built turbo gsr awd crv, but they parted out the motor and turbo, and put in a jdm '98 b20b. But I think I'm going to get it anyway. It has 16's, and skunk 2 suspension, and a **** intake, but I can always do some work to it.

Well again hello, and if you guys have any questions about car audio, or engine stuff, I'm your guy. I will have a few questions about cr-v parts specifically myself. Thanks!

If you are looking for a 1st gen V, look for a 99-2001 as they came with an extra 20 HP than the 97/98's. It makes a big difference.

I know, but like I said it has a jdm b20b, but still a 98 :(

to be honest I dont like b20's and ls motors, so i dont know what the difference is between the b20b and the b20z ect.

I know it's out of a jdm RD1, but I am still looking for the whp and more info. The intake manifold is discusting though

guess I found it.....

B20B 2.0L DOHC non-VTEC 96-98 CR-V 126hp
B20Z 2.0L DOHC non-VTEC 99-01 CR-V 143hp

B20B Honda CRV 1997-1998
B20Z Honda CRV 1998-2001

So I guess there is no difference between usdm and jdm.

so on the 98 crv, there is only one fan? I cant see a pic where there is 2. On akll my other honda's, there is one fan for the a/c and one for the radiator. Why would the cr-v be any different? And WTF is on top on the intake manifolds on the stock 98 crv motors?

A compression ratio bump, exhaust manifold, intake manifold and a computer change helped make for the extra 20 HP.

Here, for good parts illustrations:

oh, I'm used to getting power form a all motor honda set up, thats not a problem, just trying to understand the platform better first, the differences between them also. I'm a b16a2, b18c type of guy myself.

Looks really clean. Did that one used to have a turbo? I think I have seen some pics of it before.

yep that was the fully built sleeved gsr turbo manual all wheel drive that wentr a 13.0 on VERY low boost. I went to buy it that way, but they already parted the engine and turbo and put a new b20b back in, but I'm getting it tomorrow anyway.
