no any AUX imput device

I live in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and i bought CR-V in March 2007. Great car no doudt about that, however, it is very shocking that the audio system has on front panel AUX button but there is no any input device inside the vehicle. Can anyone beleive that, how ridiculous is that.

Can Honda do something about that, can Honda USA send wire harness and i shall fix is by myself!!

What model Crv do you have? And where was it originally purchased?

North American LX's have the Aux jack under the radio on the dash. Ex's have it on the center table and the EXL has it inside the center console.

My Euro EX has it next to the spare cig lighter between the front seats in the centre consol

Are you sure that there is not one in the centre consol next to the ciggy lighter? - its quite hidden away in my car and you can only find it by touch - I only know it was there from reading the drivers man. - Also do you have the Sat Nav as although I was quite excited about the aux the card reader is a much better alternative as it has the song titles etc desplayed on the screen.

I am sure you have looked but I would have of missed it.

Just bought the CRV 2008 last month in Dubai, and surprisingly there is NO AUX port anywhere in the car. A little disturbing fact considering that the audio system actually does have a big AUX button on it.. :mad:
I guess this is the 'standard' for middle east specs...
Anyone got a clue on how to install AUX in the car ?

Do both of you have a really big, black plastic button labeled "AUX" which is located on the right, just below the radio? If so try lifting it up. I think you'll find it's not a button, it's the cover for the AUX jack.

If that isn't it, check your owners manual. In the 2008 US manual the index has an entry for "Auxiliary Input Jack" and page 217 shows the AUX jack locations for all three of the US trim levels.

Nope, not in the radio, not inside the tray table, not beside the tray table. Even the car only has one power outlet, which is the cigarette lighter.
Searched the location specified in the manual, but definitely not there.
My guess is the GCC middle east spec is somehow goofed up...
Any idea how to install an AUX port ?

Have you checked with your dealer to see if they have a kit for installing an AUX jack?

Have you tried pulling the radio unit out and looking at the back of it to see if you have an AUX plug there either?

I have 2008 model, I dpnt have AUX port too. I have checked with teh SC and they offered me to install a Ipod Aux port VIA FM antena...
