We've had the Honda CR-V for over a year now, and I am happy with it. The power is adequate, the interior is roomy, and the fit and finish are great. The interior fabric on the EX version is not up to Honda’s usual standards; the floormats are not up to standard either. The only major issue that continually annoys me is this: the transmission ratios.

I am surprised that anyone think that power is adequate. That is actually major issue for me, 166hp keeps it moving and CRV is not a traffic stopper but it could use V6 option for people, who are car enthusiasts not just grocery movers. Or at list a 190 hp 4-banger from Accord.

My 2007 EX-L Navi is just about all fully loaded except for the AWD, and I got it for a little under $30 thousand and I went and had it appraised and its listing @ $17 thousand. I am disappointed that it depreciated so much in a year. I thought Hondas held thier value more than that.

Where did you go to have it appraised? Are there some other factors with that appraisal? That is almost 43% depreciation. I don't think a Honda can depreciate that much in a year.

They do. That's an unrealistic appraisal. Kelley Blue Book lists a 2007 EX-L as $23,000 in private sale and $25,500 as retail value. That with a rough estimate of 15k miles on it (you didn't mention your mileage). That's not including the Navi (which probably would net you $500 more).

Received by 3/31/08 issue of Autoweek yesterday. It had a good review of the CRV.
