I really like the '07 HID headlights on the European CRV. Does anyone know if they fit and easily attach in the US version? I'd be interested in ordering a pair of the entire assemply -- with bulbs -- for a better looking CRV in the USA.

I'm sure they'd swap right in. Good luck finding them.

If you ever come across a site or company that sells the Euro 07 headlights, could you let me know? I'm trying to find some too!

With a part number, your local dealer should be able to order them and you would not pay any shipping. However, they would probably want payment in advance and if they don't work out, you are stuck. Plus, it is more than just the light assembly that you need. It may be even a different light wiring harness plus the ballast, etc. I would wait for a kit. It is sure to come soon.

The wiring harness should not be different. What will rpobably be different are the light bulbs. You can probably buy the ballasts and bulbs from North America, the only thing you would need are the headlights from a Japanese source or a part number from Japan and see who can order them for you in the US.

Honda will only allow US dealers to order US market parts. We can't order anything from Canadian, Japanese or other market Hondas.

Would it be better/easier to use an aftermarket HID kit instead?

I thought that if you gave the parts dept. a part number they were able to get it for you. A lot of people were able to buy the JDM bumper for the CR-V from the states just recently. (hondasuv.com)

Not true! Look at all of the people that have been ordering, and receiving, Euro front bumpers in the US.

Nevermind, I saw the headlights on the UK Honda site. Pretty cool I must say.
Now, about that bumper, what seems to be the difference? the larger clean area for the EU license plate?
Can somebody with a EU bumper please comment?

Thanks a lot mate, really appreciate it :)
Size??? If you mean wattage, the standard one is 5 Watt but I've replaced it with a white LED one, sizewise it's around 6-7mm thick, unless of course you mean something else
The blue bulb is an HB3/9005 bulb.
Hope this helped :)

I've baked my headlights in the over, taken them apart and painted certain areas to make it stand out. This is really common in the Subaru community and in the Honda community as well. Not sure about CR-V owners- has anyone done this?

Same with me I am canadian but I live in Germany four the next four years.
So if you ever need European parts just email me and maybe we could arrange something.Too bad they didn't have HID in 2005 or 2006 because I would have a set on my V as we speak.

Nope, Trevor's right. Those JDM bumpers are the only non-USDM part's I've ever seen available in Honda's US part locators. And I later found that they were being shipped from US warehouses, not Japan. Perhaps back in '96, when the CR-V was unveiled here, Honda planned for the bumper with foglight holes to be available as an option, or on a certain trim level, and the plan fell through. That would explain
Not being affiliated with Honda, I can't say for sure, so this is just speculation.

What if I were to install aftermarket HID's, is there any problem with doing that on the CR-V? I'm worried that I might blind everyone since the headlight's weren't designed for HID's. + the SUV is higher off the ground.

Factory HID equipped cars have an autoleveling system that keeps the headlights angled at the correct level regardless of the load of the vehicle. A fixed beam HID will either blind meeting cars, or waste output by aiming the beam into the ground. In many countries in Europe (like here in Sweden), it is even illegal to have HID's without autoleveling.

But not in US...autoleveling is not required...maybe that's the reason we have so many accidents....:D

One of the issues with putting HID's in an American Spec car is the lack of autoleveling and Headlight washers. Headlights are affected by dirt obviously but HID's are blocked more thats why most have washers.
