Hey Folks
I have a 04 CR-V AWD. I would like to change the trans fluid myself. Are there any special tips I should know?

According to the owners manual I can only put Honda fluid in the car for the "long term"

I changed the rear diff fluid a couple weeks ago...It could not have been easier and I saved about $60:D
thanks

That should help. The trans drain and fill process is one of the simplest DIY jobs on a CR-V. Easier than an oil change.

Ditto. Changing the ATF on Honda's, particularly CRV's with their raised height, couldn't be easier.

Yeah, don't even think about using anything other than Honda's ATF. This is one area where you don't attempt to save a little money by buying something off the shelf at WalMart,Pep Boy's,etc. Honda's ATF is the ONLY way to go.
