Terrible Smell-braking system 2007

Hey there,

I just wanted to write in and see if anyone else who has a 2007 CR-V has been smelling this terrible smell from the passenger side. I asked the dealer and they said it's supposed to happen and is "normal" from the new braking system in the rear of this fancy car. If anyone has heard of this or know anything about it, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

The smell is coming from the right rear corner of your V? Are you sure it is the brakes and not the "SMELL" unique to CR-Vs? It's a very commonly reported smell emanating from the right rear corner of Vs usually after they have been parked and turned off. The smell goes away in a few minutes and has been blamed on exhaust system hangers or coatings. Take your pick; no one is really sure. If that's your smell then it's not a problem. Do a forum search and you will probably find a number of threads on the subject along with more complete descriptions.:)
