Cruise Control Question

2002 CRV 160,000 miles, mostly highway. Cruise control will drop out suddenly on flat, straight road. Intermittent problem. Starts approximately after 1/2 hour on the highway. Cruise control drops out, but green indicator light stays lit on dash. Progressively becomes more frequent and when cc drops out, green light on dash goes out, then seems to improve.

Any input appreciated.

We have a 2002 Cr-v with exactly the same symptoms. We have been suffering with this for 5-6months since we purchased. As of today we have changed the actuator and the cruise control module to no avail. Have you solved your problem?? Can anyone help us - we have been to two dealerships over this and parts alone are expensive!!!
