 I just bought the original cargo mat (08U45-SWA-100) for my 2008 CR-V EX-L but for some strange reason it doesn't fit right in back outter edges --see highlighted red circle atteched pictures--
The on-line dealer were I purchased have it advertised as "Application: 07-08 CR-V", but by the way it fits it doesn't seem to be made for my V!!!
Any ideas on this issue??? Thanks.

That's the correct part # - let it strech out a few days ... or return it and get the form fitting WeatherTech ... http://www.crvownersclub.com/forums/t2219/

I just picked up the OEM cargo tray from my dealer today and put it in the cargo area before I left. It fit perfectly. If it doesn't fit perefectly for you...all the way around, I would return it and ask for another one.

I had purchased the OEM tray noticed it did not fit perfectly at first but after a couple of days it flattened out and now it fits perfectly and has been quite useful.

Welcome to the forum! I also bought OEM and it seemed to fit fairly well. As others have suggested, wait couple of days and see if it fits better. Good luck and hope you enjoy this site for years to come.

I don't know about the Weathertech, but the OEM mat will allow you to put the shelf down inside the mat for those times you have a tall piece of cargo.
They ship the mats rolled, they will flatten out.

My oem one fit just fine.
I didn't but the weathertech ones because they are to small on the rear sides; besides I bought the floor liners from weathertech for $165 shipped and they sent me a defective set; the front ones do not meet in the middle and are 1 inch apart; been trying to get a replacement for 2 weeks now.

Hi and thanks so much to you folks for the recommedations and comments on my problem with the OEM cargo mat. Now it's time for me to give U all feedback on this issue. Today I got the correct OEM mat for my CRV,, the reason....my V is made in Japan!! and not built in the Honda plant in Ohio,US and there is a minor difference between the two in that specific.
As you can see, the new OEM mat looks pretty much the same but it is different,,, if fits perfect!!

My V is made in Japan and I have the cargo matt from the first picture. Fits perfectly

The reason is a mix facts; Localization and being made in Japan.
The other mat is just not for my V. Oh by the way, the quality of the new mat is much better,, material and finish.:D

Where did you get your new cargo mat? I googled the part number of the new one and nothing came up, interestingly. I like the new one better!

That is quite intereting. I also must have the one pictured before the new ones. Mine is from Ohio. However, I must agree the newer mat looks better than the previous one. Hmmm, I wonder if they made some improvements.

I got it from my Honda local dealer here in CR.
Indeed strange why it doesn't show up with Google  , but I can tell you that I saw it once in the Honda Australia URL. Check it out:

One thing that I couldn't do with the other mat was to install the cargo net because the rings that holds it couldn't come down since the mat was in the way.;)

I really like the looks and better function of your cargo liner. My local US dealer contacted Honda USA. The only cargo liner sold in the US is pn 08U45-SWA-100

Yes you have to use the 08U45-SWA-100 for your USDM ride.
With time in between I was able to conclude that if the V comes with a normal size spare tire then the proper cargo liner is 08U45-SWE-700. On the other hand if the V has a small size spare tire like in USDM models then cargo mat for it is 08U45-SWA-100.
I spoke about this on a tire thread. Check it out here:
