Engine Light

My wife just got home from work and the engine light is on. It's a 2007 and just under a year old. I don't see any code showing up on the dash.

I looked in the manual and it does state that a loose fuel cap could cause this. My wife checked it (I filled it up three days ago) and said it wasn't tight - pass the click.

Should I be concerned? If it was the loose cap, when should the light go out?

Thanks!

Engine fault codes won't show up on the dash. They need to be pulled with a code reader. If it was just a loose cap the code light should disappear after a few days. This is also outlined on page 216 of your owners manual.
