Right now, my new CR-V is pretty much bone stock. I plan on changing that as soon as I can and with the funds permitting. I don't want to spend too much, as I don't want it interfering with the money I'm saving for a decent in-dash navigation system.

BUT, on the top of my list is an iPod integration system. I'm leading towards the DICE system as it allows information to be displayed and some direct iPod control from the head unit. I want track information to be displayed.

The next thing I want to do is put a chromed/silver amber bulb in the rear and do the same for the front to reduce the look of all of that amber/orange. I hate that safety color on ANY car anymore.

I'd also like that chrome "trim" kit for the headlights, and tail lights, as I'd like a more sporty look.

Also, can anyone recommend a good after market grille like the bottom one in this picture?

That style of grille was on my Tundra, and I'd like it for the top and middle (main) grilles on the CR-V if possible. I saw one similar online, but it was for the top only.

Any, and all, help is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.

Hi!

This is my first post, and although we have an oldie but a goodie,
we are also looking to dress up our very basic model.

Thanks for posting, I'll keep watching this thread for ideas.

:p Karen

Here is something I've been meaning to show off, a video of some door edge trim I added.

Sorry, no stills of it yet.

Looks good trimmed out with the chrome. Any luck with the grille yet?

Nevermind the grille for awhile... I really FUBAR'ed

I was trying to move my GPS system from down near my shifter, where I couldn't see the screen, to up where it was on my duct panel like the Honda Navigation System can be installed. Well, I got out my Dremel to make a small hole in the back panel and part of the front one (around the vents) for the cable to be routed through. The Dremel slipped a bit and made a NICE mark across the panel.

So I, (in my immaculate and sometimes juvenile wisdom) though I'd use some of the Silly Putty to fix it. Wow. That stuff can get messy quick! I even thought I'd just paint over it with one of my Acrylic Sharpie. Eww, messy. So, next I got out my Engine Enamel black spray paint. Wow. I totally ruined two panels.

Now, I have a GAPING hole in my dash unless I can find a replacement panel and a panel around the vents SOON!

Are the bad panels the same ones in the wood trim kit?

Nope, but I just ordered the parts through College Hills Honda.

I do like the wood kit, but I'd prefer a metallic finish kit as I'm not big on faux wood. I've been looking at various eBay kits, though, but I prefer OEM quality. ONCE I finish my GPS installation and everything, I'll post up some pictures. For now, I have to wait for the parts to arrive so I can have a DASH!
