Hi..I just purchased an '08 CR-V EX-L and love it. I had my dealer install the OEM Hood Deflector and now I'm wondering how to clean and wax with this thing on? Is there an easy way to remove this and then place it back on. I had no idea it was "stuck" onto the hood vs. screwed on. Does anyone have any advice. Thanks! Otherwise...love the V!

Congratulations! As far as the deflector, I advise you not to take it off and put it back on. You will just have to get around the deflector to clean the surface. You can be creative in trying to reach the area under the deflector. I am sure there are others on this board with better information. Good luck!

Its a piece of cake. Just be slow and methodical.
The trick is to stand closer to your wipers and then face the deflector (front of the car) from the rear. Tuck your palms, rag or whatever into and under the deflector and use slow, wide strokes along the width of the hood. Take your time and please dont be tempted to lean even slightly on the deflector, it WILL crack and you will be sobbing on someones shoulder. :)
You will need to wash and polish the deflector on its own, inec a regular car wash may leave 'beading' or 'marbling' water stains on it. Its no big deal... it will take 5 minutes if any. Investing in a good quality quick detail spray helps.
It can add some time to your v detailing job but its worth it. Good luck!
