The struts are not leaking but seems like the ride has deteriorated over the last year.
50K on our 2003.
The local Honda dealer has a 4 strut special for $200.
I am wondering if and when anyone else has replaced struts, and what to expect with regards to ride quality.

Our 81 Civic needed strut replacement at 20K miles.

Our 90 Accord needed new struts at 85 K miles.

Our 99 Acura TL still has the factory-fitted parts at 120K miles (but I'm considering new ones, just because they seem "soft")

The point is that the parts get better and better. Unless you have a problem like a leaker or repeated oscilations over bumps, don't bother.

I have not seen many Gen2 Strut Replacement topics on any of the several CRV Forums I frequent.

OTOH $200 for FOUR installed is a screamin' deal. The parts alone, list for $560 from one of the OE Honda parts discounters. Are you sure the offer is for Genuine Honda?

I just replaced my Struts at 94K on my Subaru Impreza, but I should have
done it way back at around 60K, because that is when the outside of my
front tires started to wear. AT 94K something broke in one of the Struts
and I had a wobble in my front end.

In my 05' CRV Official repair manual it refers to Shocks or Struts as
Dampeners, not sure what I have. . . Shocks or Struts? ? ?

From my 44 years of driving experience Shocks usually go at 30-40K and
Struts between 50-60K.

Some Subaru models have electronic Struts and they run 350 bucks a piece!

My four manual struts on my Subaru Impreza ran me $710 ! ! ! and that
was the lowest of three estimates.

Both shocks and struts are motion (oscillation) dampers.

The front suspension is definitely a Strut, as the damper serves as the shock aborber, spring seat, and upper control arm.

The rear suspension is a modified strut. While it carries the spring there is an additional upper control arm.
