I agree. My 2005 CRV has somewhat noisy windows. This is mostly at highway speeds. I don't think this is unique to the Honda CRV. My 1989 and later 1994 Isuzu Pickups had this problem, as well as several Dodge Caravans of various years including our current 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. Our 1997 Ford Explorer had this issue too.
What is a bit more annoying is the road noise. The road noise gets pretty bad in the CRV. I am considering adding some undercoating to the car. I know it helped a bunch with the Isuzu Pickups, though it didn't help with the window noise.

is the noise high pitched like a squeal or is it like common wind noise. If its the latter than maybe its not your window. Im thinking its coming from the roof. The 07-08 crvs have no sound dampening on the ceiling. Its just a headliner and thin sheet metal. I have added dynamat xtreme to the ceiling but have not yet test driven the car yet. if the noise is coming from the window I guess nothing can be done unless its like a loose seal.

I just wanna tell you that im from Saudi Arabia, does it make any difference when it comes to the Quality of the car? i mean, when someone buys a car in Japan, USA,SAUDI...etc,, is the quality the same or not?
Thank you

where you buy the car does not matter as much as where its made. If its made at the same place the quality is probably the same. There is a discussion about quality and the countries where the car is produced on this forum. If you look at your VIN there is a code that indicates where your car was made.

Is everyone sure that the noise they have is wind noise from the windows? There is a TSB on headliner noise:

I have wind noise coming from the driver's side. It's always been there and loudness varies with speed.
I can sometimes reduce the level of noise by rolling down the window and rolling it up again.
After a year of listening to the noise, I've come to think either 1.) the slot for the window to be housed in when closed isn't deep enough to allow enough of the window to have a good seal, so wind noise occurs or 2.) the seal isn't thick enough so a space allows the air to get into the gap.

I have the same problem in Argentina. I just bounght a new CRV 2.4, and makes that noise. It is like the windows were slightly open. Its not whisling, just like wind coming in. Today i got this answer from "Badgerland". Senior Member:
Welcome to the forum!! I had this problem and it seems there is a molding around the windshield that comes loose at speed and causes this whistling noise sort of like there is a "leak" in the windshield. Tell your dealer to check this molding...I think there was a TSB about this in the US.

Hi, Just joined the site and saw this. I complained to my dealer about the noise from the windows of my '57 Crv ex ctdi and was told that they were in the process of contacting owners as Honda had issued a product recall. The problem is something to do with the seal around the wing mirrors which they are replacing free of charge today.
The other recall which they are sorting out is replacement of light units as they are prone to failing if condensation occurs, also being done today free of charge.
Will post when work completed and let you know if the noise has improved.

Welcome to the club, and thanks for the information on the two problems you mentioned. We have a large and growing group from the UK and the problems may be applicable to other areas as well.
