I am awaiting my new CRV (I take delivery in May)

In looking at the specs, I noticed that at autochannel.com, it listed a compass on the instrumentation panel of the 08 CRV EX-L w Nav.
Is there a compass??
I knew there was an external temp display, but I did not read anywhere that there was a compass.

How is this displayed?

From Autochannel.com:

Instrumentation

Maintenance Minder(TM) System Maintenance Interval Indicator For Oil Level and Oil Quality
Exterior Temperature Gauge

When you have the navigation screen on "map" there is a small red diamond in the upper left hand corner that always will point to north; hence a compass. I have a true geographically challenged wife who with her navigation, has never needed the compass so I would not worry about how insignificant it really is. Please post some pictures when you get your new vehicle, I miss the landscape of my home state!

If you push that small red diamond in the upper left hand corner, you will change from having the top of the nav screen always being north to having the present position arrow always pointing to the top of the screen. In this mode the map rotates as you change directions.
